Tea Time Event – Romantic Dialogues: An Evening with Nancy Zhou
February 9, 2025 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm To Be Announced
César Franck’s Sonata in A Minor for Violin and Piano is a cornerstone of Romantic chamber music, celebrated for its emotional depth and cyclical structure. Composed as a wedding gift for violinist Eugène Ysaÿe, it blends lush expressiveness with intricate unity between the violin and piano. This beloved work is a true dialogue of sound. Paired with Respighi’s Sonata in B minor, written during World War I, it beautifully combines Romantic warmth with modern harmonic innovations. We’re thrilled to welcome world-renowned violinist Nancy Zhou for her Ajijic and Festival debut to open our 21st season!
