Sasha Bult-Ito – Piano

Alaskan pianist Sasha Bult-Ito made her solo debut at age six with the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra after winning the symphony’s concerto competition. She gave her first solo recital at age ten, and has gone on to appear on stages across North America and in Europe.

She has performed at the Southeastern Piano Festival, John Perry Academy International Piano Festival, MusicFest Perugia in Italy, and Internationaler Klaviersommer Cochem Meisterkurs in Germany.

In 2021 she recorded as collaborative pianist for the Royal Conservatory of Music’s Violin Series 2021 edition, contributing to the definitive recording library for the RCM Certificate Program examinations, including recording alongside superstar violinist/violist James Ehnes.

In The Ezra Duo with violist/violinist Jacob Clewell, she has performed across North America, with appearances in Carnegie Hall and as special guests at a G7 Summit event at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. Dubbed an “iconic team” (Fairbanks Daily News-Miner), the pair are ensemble-in-residence at the Emerald Coast Chamber Music Festival in Florida, where Sasha is co-Artistic Director and Artist Faculty for the festival’s annual summer chamber music institute.

Sasha attended Interlochen Arts Academy for high school under Thomas J. Lymenstull, and holds a Bachelor of Music (Honours) and Artist Diploma from The Glenn Gould School, where she studied on full scholarship with David Louie and John Perry. She has also learned from late master pedagogues Nelita True and Leon Fleisher.
