Carlos Gándara – Violin

Carlos Gándara is a distinguished Mexican violinist from Querétaro, renowned for his virtuosity and versatility in performing both classical and contemporary repertoire.

He began his musical training at a young age, studying with teachers such as Sergei Gorbenko, Natalia Gdvoztedskaya, and Martin Valdeschack, which allowed him to develop a refined technique and profound interpretive sensitivity.

In 2018, he completed his postgraduate studies in Austria under the tutelage of Igor Petrushevski, which enabled him to perfect his technique and broaden his knowledge of violin performance. This European training provided him with the opportunity to immerse himself in a high-level musical tradition, significantly influencing his style and artistic approach.

Throughout his career, Gándara has performed as a soloist with various orchestras in both Mexico and abroad. His international appearances include collaborations with the Kharkiv Philharmonic Orchestra in Ukraine, the Kaliningrad Symphony Orchestra in Russia, and the Dubai Festival Orchestra in the United Arab Emirates. Currently, he is the principal second violinist of the OFUNAM, where he contributes to the sound and leadership of the section within one of the country’s most important orchestras. He also teaches violin at the Ollin Yoliztli School and the Eduardo Mata University Youth Orchestra (OJUEM), training new generations of violinists and sharing his experience with young talents.

His versatility, constant pursuit of excellence, and commitment to promoting classical and Mexican music solidify his position as a prominent figure in the country’s musical scene.
